4 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Rely on Feelings

Feelings are good. They can warn us of a future catastrophe, and they give us sudden moments of happiness and excitement. But what about when they lead us away from our heavenly Father? Doubts, fears, boredom (yes!), and confusion, are all the ingredients that prevent you from having the joyful days which the Lord intends on giving you. This morning as I was praying, Jesus sweetly revealed to me the not-so-sweet reasons why I shouldn't, in any case, rely on my wrong feelings.

1. God does not change! Malachi 3:6 says, "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed." and again we can read it in Hebrews 13:8, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." Yahweh does not fluctuate when our emotions are "all over the place", and He does not vary with our moods and sadnesses. He remains the same minute after minute, hour after hour, and day after day!

2. Feelings and emotions do not change the circumstances. Just because you are feeling depressed one particular day, does not mean that the world does. And as much as our circumstances shouldn't affect our joyfulness, neither should our sadness affect our actions. Spurs of gloominess and doubts are purely physiological. They are in our imaginations, they are not true! We ought to do as 2 Corinthians 10:5 instructs us, "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"

3. Satan. If wrong feelings are not righteous, then they are not from God. 1 John 4:1 "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." Satan is the father of all lies, and if our feelings and thoughts are not professing that Jesus is Lord and that He loves us more than anything, they are lies and they come from Satan himself. How much power we give him when we listen to him! It hurts him when we rebuke him, pray, open our Bible, and slam the Word of God in his face. It really does!

4. God is in control. Our Lord Adonai controls the whole universe- and that means yours too! He will not let you be shaken (Psalm 55:22, 112:6), and He holds your very hand through everything (Isaiah 41:13). How can we let our feelings dictate us? All doubts and fears melt away when we raise them up to Jesus. Our imagination is nothing compared to the power of the King of kings! No matter how many doubts and how much confusion is in my heart, I know that He holds my whole world in His hands, and nothing can ever separate me away from Him (Romans 8:31-39).

"Though our feelings come and go, God's love for us does not."
-C.S Lewis

Thank you Jesus for Your love and Your protection!! I pray that the Holy Spirit would give us a ready mind prepared to test every spirit, and to listen to our Sheperd's voice firstly and solemnly. We love you Lord!

Sarah's Handmade Bracelets + A Sister's Help

Greetings! :) It is Spring... SPRING! Oh, let the warm and lovely weather invite itself to our front door!
Song of Solomon 2:11-12
"For you see that the winter has passed,
the rain is finished and gone,
the flowers are appearing in the countryside,
the time has come for [the birds] to sing,
and the cooing of doves can be heard in the land."

As some of you may know, Sarah hosted a wonderful giveaway which gave you the chance to win her handcrafted crocheted headband and 3 bracelets of your choice. ... And guess what? I won!!! Thank you Sarah, I was so happy! The bracelets that I chose were Creamy Blue, Cranberry Blossom (recommended by Julia!), and Deep Sea. They all fit very well, and Sarah even included a few little surprises in the package! She is so sweet and thoughtful. The headband has a button at the end, therefore you can adjust it to fit your head perfectly. And did I tell you how SOFT is it?

Beautiful headband.

All 3 bracelets that I won (with an adorable surprise ring) + 2 that I bought, "Pink Perfection" and "Silvery Storm".

Julia's gorgeous Christmas present to me! Isn't it pretty!?  It was made with so much love, and I will never forget how blessed we were to be able to give our presents to each other in person! Thank you Julia!

Sarah is selling her bracelets and rings at Trusting the Lord day by day. There are so many choices to choose from! She recently made brand new styles, which you can find here. I feel so special every time that I wear my bracelets! They are made with a stretchy string, so not only are they comfortable, but very easy to put on as well.
Proverbs 25:26
"Like a muddied spring or a polluted well
is a righteous person who gives way before the wicked."

The weather was refreshingly warm yesterday, our Lord is so gracious! My parents, sister, and I took a walk with only our Autumn coat and gloves on. Isn't that great? Sara, my awesome sister, was so kind and patient to take all these pictures of me! We laughed together and had way too much fun, as always! She is so good with a camera. :) Thank you sister!

Psalm 104:24
"What variety there is in Your works, Adonai!
How many [of them there are]!
In wisdom You have made them all;
the earth is full of Your creations."

I hope that you all have a beautiful and (somewhat) dry Spring! :D Has the flowers begin to bloom, or are you in deep snow still? Today it snowed here! But it was still very warm. Strange, isn't it?

If They Were All To Be Recorded...

John 21:25
"But there are also many other things Yeshua did; and if they were all to be recorded, I don't think the whole world could contain the books that would have to be written!" CJB
